Every day, more children in Belize enter poverty than escape it.
Just because a country is beautiful doesn’t mean its children are flourishing.
In a country with one of the largest barrier reefs in the world, nearly 50% of its kids live in poverty.
For these children, the path to graduation ends at age 12 when free education does.
And adolescents who aren’t able to continue their education:
- Are targeted by gangs.
- Are forced to do unskilled labor.
- Perpetuate the cycle of generational poverty.
But baseline was never our goal.
Investing in a generation of children who become flourishing adults who transform Belize, is.
And since 2007, PathLight has done just that. Find out how, here.
