What AI Thinks of PathLight
“Garbage in, garbage out” is a phrase that has been widely used by computer scientists for decades.
It’s a reminder that a computer only processes what it is given. Bad data going in will result in bad data coming out.
The same is true for these multibillion-dollar AI systems that are in the news. Although the output tends to be well-written and grammatically correct, the content might not always be true. Recently, the Bing AI chatbot was insulting users! But by and large they are remarkably accurate for early generation technology.
That made me wonder if ChatGPT would give an accurate response if I told it a bit about PathLight and then asked it to explain why someone should support PathLight’s mission. Here’s the response:
