PathLight works with leadership in the local communities to determine the most vital needs and then organizes one to three week service projects for groups to impact the educational needs of at-risk youth in Belize. Custom-designed for the needs of each group and focused on serving in a culturally sensitive way, these trips can be transforming for everyone.
"He has refreshed my and restored my soul and left me utterly amazed by His power, might, and His love for these people." – Ashley Reed, Student, Dallas Theological Seminary
"I just really enjoyed working with fellow believers to accomplish a goal, whether it was construction, praising God with song, or playing with children." – Emily Johnson, Student, Baylor University
Construction and Maintenance
It's hard to learn in an overcrowded classroom with a leaking roof and broken desks. By building, painting, or repairing school classrooms or other school facilities, your group can improve the educational experience for hundreds of children.
Because of resource limitations, many students are not exposed to academic subjects outside of the basics. Through activities such as computer workshops, science camps, and art or music presentations, your group can enrich the learning experience for dozens of children.
There are a variety of ways your group can have a lasting impact on the lives of children in Belize. While we focus primarily on projects that support education, we work with the local communities to determine the most vital projects and so we also welcome teams with a desire to do other types of service.
