PathLight International Promotes Nilda Muschamp as Director of Operations
PathLight International announces that Ms. Nilda Muschamp has been promoted to the role of Director of Operations. Nilda joined PathLight after over 30 years as an educator in the Belize Ministry of Education. She has taught at all grade levels from primary school to university. She has also been a primary school principal and has worked with the Ministry of Education in the capacity of an Education Officer at the Quality Assurance Development Service Unit in charge of assisting with the development of the Mathematics and Science Curriculum for primary schools. In 2017, Nilda became PathLight’s first Belizean Associate Teacher Trainer. One year later, she was promoted to the role of Teacher Training Program Director.
As Director of Operations, Nilda will oversee the day-to-day management of PathLight’s three programs: Sponsorship+, Teacher Training, and Community Partners. PathLight empowers children in Belize to receive a quality education, break free from poverty, and reach their God-given potential. In 2019, PathLight celebrates the opening of four new Teacher Resource Centers, giving PathLight a physical mission presence in all six Districts in Belize.
Nilda is a devoted Christian and the proud mother of three children and four grandchildren. She is passionate about youth development and education, and is a champion for the educators and youth of Belize.
“I am very thankful to PathLight International for choosing to assist the people of Belize. What better way, than through education! I am honored to be a part of it.” says Nilda.
“I enthusiastically celebrate the promotion of Nilda to the role of Director of Operations. Part of PathLight’s commitment is to promote from within wherever possible. Nilda has a love for Christ, a passion for education, a wealth of experience, and a commitment to PathLight’s mission and vision. She also has the deep respect of our entire team, and our partners in Belize,” says PathLight CEO, Roger Dermody.
