PathLight International Promotes Consuelo Godfrey as Teacher Training Program Director


PathLight International announces that Consuelo Godfrey has been promoted by the CA and KY-based non-profit as Teacher Training Program Director. 

Ms Godfrey joined PathLight in 2018 after serving with the Belizean Ministry of Education, in various capacities at St. John’s College, the University of Belize, and St. Catherine’s Academy. In her position with PathLight, Ms Godfrey will direct the expansion of PathLight’s Teacher Training Programs, leading workshops and conferences, over-seeing PathLight’s six Teacher Education Centers, and continuing our partnership with the Ministry of Education in helping Belizean schools achieve the goals of their school improvement plans.

“Consuelo has brought maturity and broad experience to our teacher training program. We have deeply appreciated her role on our team, and celebrate her promotion as a key voice in empowering the children of Belize to receive a quality education, break free from poverty, and reach their God-given potential,” says PathLight CEO, Rev. Ms. Godfrey holds a Masters in Education in Literacy Development from the University of Lethbridge, Canada, and a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education, English Focus, from The University College of Belize. In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Godfrey is a Supreme Court Mediator and the current President of the Association of Court Mediators and Arbitrators of Belize, and the current President of General Federation Women's Club of Belize City. She and her two daughters live near Belize City.
