What we do
Jaguar Creek Ministries
Jaguar Creek Ministries serves children-at-risk by providing educational opportunities that integrate faith and learning. By working with volunteers, local schools, children’s homes, churches, government agencies, and non-profit groups, Jaguar Creek Ministries aims to help vulnerable children become the self-reliant leaders of tomorrow.
There is hope through faith and learning.
Short-term service projects.
Jaguar Creek Ministries organizes and leads short-term trips of one to three weeks for groups that want to impact the educational needs of children. Custom designed for the talents and interests of the groups, but always focusing on real needs in the context of cultural sensitivities, these programs can be transforming for all involved.
Expectations are high for those going on these trips – this is not an “adventure”, an “alternative vacation”, or a fun summer project. It is an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of children. Whether repairing a roof, upgrading a classroom, providing medical services or simply leading a group of kids in worship, the goal of Jaguar Creek Ministries is to create relationships that are long lasting, transforming, and guided by the Holy Spirit.
Scholarships.
Education is often unaffordable in regions of the world where people live on two dollars a day or less. Even government-subsidized education is too expensive. In some regions, a child needs to work for the family to survive. Jaguar Creek Ministries has established a scholarship program that meets some of this need. By providing financial resources for tuition, books, uniforms, and even bus transportation, these scholarships keep kids in school.
Teacher Placements.
Jaguar Creek Ministries places volunteer teachers into classrooms to help children-at-risk become the leaders of tomorrow. These educators commit to the job for a full year, working by the side of a host teacher, usually in a rural village where educational needs are greatest. Unlike many short-term experiences, the teacher placement program allows volunteers to develop deep and meaningful relationships. By integrating faith with learning in their work, the teachers have an incredible opportunity to transform the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of the children in the classroom.
Conferences and workshops. Jaguar Creek Ministries hosts conferences and workshops at its facility in Belize. These conferences focus on the needs of children-at-risk, gathering together key leaders in the region. Workshops focus on leadership training, teaching skills, and roundtable discussions

Jaguar Creek Mission & Conference Center is a facility operated by Jaguar Creek Ministries. Located in Belize, Central America, the Center acts as a home base for service in the nearby schools, housing teachers and short-term program workers. It also hosts conferences and workshops.
The Center has been widely acclaimed for its natural beauty and innovative design. Used to host programs run by Jaguar Creek Ministries, the Center is also available for other service groups, research teams, or recreational visits.
